This place is a town frozen in time. The whole family loved just walking around in all the history this place has to offer. Facebook and video games were forgotten for the day that we spent walking around this historic town.
Zoar Village is a fascinating window into the lives of a successful group of immigrants who lived communally during the 1800s. The State Memorial includes the public garden, a mix of reconstructed and original, restored buildings built and used by the community, along with artifacts and photographs. The docents are dressed in the traditional clothing worn by the community, and are very knowledgeable.
